My #2019bestnine show my happiest moments this year. A whole lot of of love, weddings, babies, travelling to amazing places, embarking on my dream job, meeting new people who have enriched my life and time spent with family and good friends. But social media doesn’t show it all - it’s also been a really tough year at times, for me and many of those I care about - not to mention a pretty awful year for politics and humanity.
I’ve been reflecting on how differently life is from when this decade started and how grateful I am for that - for the highs and lows, learnings and opportunities and general health and happiness of my loved ones. This year, I am most grateful for the love and support I have been given even when (in fact, especially when) I’ve not been my best. I have been shown time and again what really matters, and it’s the people we have around us. It’s those who quietly sit beside us and lift us up, who look at the world the way we do, who accept us for who we are but challenge us when we need it, who live and laugh with us in the good times and share in our happiness fully. Thank you to those people in my life.
I’m ready to shut the door on 2019 but I can’t wait to embrace 2020 and the next ten years and all they have to offer. Happy New Year all, I hope this year and decade have wonderful things in store for you ❤️
